I am the voice of the voiceless: Through me, the dumb shall speak; Till the deaf world's ear be made to hear The cry of the wordless weak. And I am my brother's keeper, And I will fight his fight, And speak the word for beast and bird, Till the world shall set things right. ~Ella Wheeler Wilcox
Description: 11/12/2009 I thought you might like my adoption success story.
Zoe and I went down to the tank the other day. I had to remove some debris, branches, limbs, cactus etc. from the fence where the flood waters had washed them, and the tank itself was full of debris. I had waded out into the water, and was raking the stuff out of the water, and dragging it to the bank to be burned. All of a sudden my neighbor, who was standing on the other side of the fence visiting, said, "did you train your dog to do that?" I looked over and Zoe was digging at the debris with her front paws, and pulling it up onto the bank next to the stuff I'd put up there. Then she got hold of a limb as big as my arm in her mouth and dragged it out. SHE WAS HELPING ME CLEAN THE POND!! I know this sounds to incredible to be true, but I swear to you it is. I'm so glad we battled through all her initial problems. She's her daddy's sweetie.
